Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration 2025

Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration 2025

Hello everyone!

On this special occasion of Teacher’s Day 2025, I am delighted to share not only our Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration but also my reflection on Ode to a Nightingale by John Keats. Preparing the activities for Teacher’s Day gave me a deeper understanding of the poem’s message about gratitude, inspiration, and timeless influence.

✴️ Celebration Video :

We created a heartfelt video dedicated to our teachers. Just like the eternal song of Keats’s nightingale, this video is our small effort to honor the timeless guidance and love of our teachers.

🔸 Watch the video here: YouTube video link

💠 Quiz & Certificate:

To make the celebration interactive, we also prepared a short quiz based on the video. After attempting, participants receive a certificate a symbol of appreciation.

✴️ Ted-Ed Lesson:

Additionally, a Ted-Ed lesson was created on the same theme. It allows us to think deeply about the role of teachers, much like Keats reflected on the eternal beauty of the nightingale’s song.

✴️ Reflection on Ode to a Nightingale:

Keats begins the poem with feelings of heartache and weariness, but the nightingale’s song lifts him into a world beyond pain. For me, this mirrors the role of teachers. Just as the bird’s song is eternal and inspiring, teachers guide us beyond our struggles and fill our lives with wisdom and hope.

The nightingale represents immortality, beauty, and timeless inspiration. In the same way, the words and lessons of teachers remain alive within us long after the classroom moments have passed. Keats realizes that imagination and art are stronger than suffering and we realize that a teacher’s guidance is stronger than challenges we face.

💠 Closing Note :

Through this journey, I understood that teachers are like Keats’s nightingale symbols of light, continuity, and eternal influence. Their lessons are not limited to one moment; they echo through our lives just as the bird’s song echoes through time.

Once again, Happy Teacher’s Day to all the guiding lights who inspire us every day! 🌷

With love and respect,

Khushi Makwana

Worksheet: Film Screening—Deepa Mehta's Midnight's Children

Worksheet: Film Screening - Deepa Mehta's Midnight's Children This blog task is assigned by Dilip Sir and is based on my viewing and analysis of Midnight’s Children (2012), adapted from Salman Rushdie’s novel. Through pre-viewing questions, while-watching observations, and post-watching reflections, I explore themes of hybridity, identity, and postcolonial nationhood, supported with photographs from the film to enhance the discussion. The journey of watching Midnight’s Children (2012), directed by Deepa Mehta and based on Salman Rushdie’s iconic novel, was not just a film experience for me it was an intellectual and emotional exploration of identity, history, and language. Guided by the pre-viewing, while-watching, and post-watching activities from our class, I found myself reflecting deeply on what it means to belong to a nation shaped by colonial pasts and hybrid cultures. 1. Pre-Viewing: Questions that Stayed with Me 🔰Before the film, we discussed three powerful questions: ...
